"any form of gambling on the church grounds, including bingo and raffles, would be sacrilege"I am engaging in yet another mental debate with myself pertaining to a Red Mist SSP that I have up for sale on this forum. I am not entirely sure I can bring myself to sell it! (Apologies to the forum member who is expressing serious interest presently.)
http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/member-sales-trades/ss-red-mist-performer-pristine-kettle-910-cart-near-chicago-meetup/I do recognize what a hard find a grate condition red mist SSP is... so that's part of the reluctance, but I do think I can probably sell it without a lifetime of serious regret. (There are other fish in the sea.)
ONE of the reasons I'm selling is that, though I do love the fact that it is 'original'... I don't really love the older style SSP frame. Particularly, as I'm 6'7", and like the newer performers, with the increase in height. If I wanted to get a performer again, I could live with a newer one in crimson, I think. (The other reason I'm selling it: I'm also thinking I can live without performers, and just have kettles with a stand-alone table/cart. I've got a 26er and a Red Limited inbound.)
That said, I am a huge fan of brewtownbeatdown's "perfect performer"... which requires a red mist kettle. (And which I agree is perfect.)
Here's the thread...

Thoughts: Is it kettle sacrilege to disassemble a grate condition "all original" SSP? For the good of humanity... should I leave this "all original" SSP, for which I even have the manuals, in "all original" condition?
