Legitimately how many would each of you take?  I think I could find room for 20 bags and I'd buy another 20 to drop off on friends doorsteps that I know grill.

Smokey Joe Black, Smokey Joe Lime Green, Original Kettle Premium Black,'92 Red OTS, Yellow Simpson's 22, 78 Red MBH, '80 Black MBH, '10 Brick Red Performer,'12 Grass Green Performer, '03 Blue SSP, '97 Blue SSP, 18 inch WSM

I would need more info. I wonder if they are seconds or defects somehow.

More concerned if they had gotten damp

Still, I could clean out a 4X4 area to store a pallet if it came to that.
At .19 cents a pound it would be hard to argue.
Plus the smaller bags are just a little bit easier to handle.

I’ve become a little bit of a charcoal snob. Personally I don’t partake in the kbb deals anymore. I go for the k pro at Costco for .40 per lb.

Very true.
Gotta go get some RO and give it a go.
KBB has been running not as hot for me lately.
And it seems to be leaving more and more ash than I remember.

Fresh bags stored in garage.
Fortunately I don't have that much more KBB on hand.
Picked a couple of 2 packs of K Pro @ BJ's early season.
Now they want $22 for a 2 pack.

Ha, that’s funny. I thought it was just in my head. I’ve found the exact same issues with kbb lately. It used to melt your face off. Now it seems to stifle itself in its own ash.

Rip roaring chimney.
Dump it lots of sparks
and then it seems to fizzle.
Almost like they're forcing you
to buy the Pro/Comp or Long Lasting.

HD around here has stocked back up on Weber
but they want $17.47 a bag.
Weber says retail is $14.99.
I guess that way when they drop it to $9.99
we can fall to our knees and thank them.

Embers and RO are same, same?

embers is all I have been buying lately. I actually had KBB go out on me while I wasn't watching. That was a first in many many years at the grill. It's left a bad taste in my mouth and will stay away (and save a little coin) for now.

Only briquettes i use these days are RO chef select. Great stuff and it cost less $10 for a 20#. Runs hot, last a long time and very minimal smoke or odor when being lit. Actually prefer it over the weber. Would not use kbb no matter how cheap it is.

I agree on KBB. I have stock of KBB that I will not replenish when it is gone. I’m not a fan of the KComp that is sold at Costco either.

Where do you get your RO?

Cash n Carry. It's $9.79 for 20#. Well worth it compare to the regular RO.
