I scored this red SSP a few years ago and used it a few times then parked it covered in the backyard. My modified 2014 Performer is my workhorse.

I gave it a good scrubbing, and now my goal is to make it look brand new.

First thing I went to work on was replacing the ash sweeps and polishing up the bucket assembly.

That's good work. It looks almost brand new.

Envious of those of you that can get that kind of finish on your ash buckets!  Looking good kid!

What did you use to restore the Ash catcher? Lovely job!

Looks great. I need one of those older ash catcher holders for my SSP.  Mine rusted out. Anyone here remaking them

@603kettle -   zavod44 (Brian) was making them. I got one from him a year ago.

Better question; anyone know where to source the Ash sweepers for the SSPs. Weber says they have no parts

Nice restore. Looks good!  On my Red SSP Restore, I replaced the sweep with a newer style one. I did have a spare ash bucket holder bar/bracket to use.  Look up my restore if anyone is interested in what I did. Not sure what I did at this moment.
