Life has been pretty busy this week and my wife and I hadn’t had a chance to spend quality time with each other all week, so as soon as we got the kids in bed, we designated tonight as “in-home date night.”
We left our phones on the other side of the house while we sat outside and grilled a new recipe that we came up with together.
I seasoned the pork shoulder steaks in my
standard rub (salt, chili powder, paprika, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne), then cooked them indirect with GFS lump with a small piece of
@kettlebb ‘s peach wood. During the last 15 minutes or so if cooking, I covered them with a apple cider vinegar, honey, and Dijon mustard glaze that I made earlier in the night. She made some broiled cabbage with EVOO and S&P as our side.
It was a wicked awesome meal, one that we will definitely repeat. The night turned out awesome despite some Armeggedon-type T-Storms rolling through up the early evening.
Thanks for reading.
