First time tomahawk
« on: May 20, 2018, 01:22:06 PM »
We cooked a 2.75 pound tomahawk on the red kettle. Split zone fire with lump charcoal. Seasoned with pappy's all purpose and oakridge Santa Maria seasoning. Seared each side and set it on indirect heat for about an hour total cook time to 125°.

Thanks! I like the cast iron and I like the way it marks steaks. I didn't get it hot enough to mark this tomahawk but I know better next time.
