I already had a SideKick table that is 90% perfect but to find a New #7411 SideKick work table still in a sealed box and in the Bamboo wood ... well.. I was stoked !
I'm not sure about it but I think the #1800 SideKick that was sold in the states was sold here in Europe in 2 versions with the number #7411. Some I have seen here are the standard Maple wood and some are made with the super hard Bamboo wood.
I have had both and most of the maple ones would be splitting and needed work. The Bamboo ones are made out of like 2 million thin layers of bamboo and tons of glue.. I think this and the harder wood makes them last longer.
Anyways.. for €30 / $34.80 I'm a Very Very Happy Griller :-)

Will you oil it before putting it out in the sun or do people just let it roll and they last til they last?

I looked at it REAL good and I think it's coated in clear urethane ?
I even tested it on the bottom with some linseed oil.. it just beads up like it's coated in varnish / urethane ?
Instruction sheet says to oil it before 1st use ?
I store it all time inside and dry. Instructions are for the Euro Bamboo SideKick! I'm not going to sand it down just to oil it.
And I'm a little OCD about my stuff so it will not see a knife if I can help it ;-)

If my memories serve me good.. the maple cutting boards were unfinished, just raw wood.
That type I would oil the snot out of it with good oil.
