Well, I did forgo the pans but elected not to poke holes in the foil. I mixed up 2.5lbs roughly based on this,

So ya see, I was in the store, the ground chuck looked good, and right next to it (before I saw the recipe linked to above) I spy me some pepper jack cheese. Serendipity. Forgot to add the whisky.
My 18 WW took on the meat, and a 22 did 4 corn cobs. My boy made seasoned mashed taters to round it out. Probably the best meat loaf I can ever remember. It was scarfed up.
