22.5 inch parts for 22 inch grill

So im seeing parts,  say grill grates,  for a 22.5 inch kettle grill,  but the grills im seeing say 22 inch.

What up with that????

Welcome to WKC. The spec is for the diameter of the grill, not the cook grate.

22 is shorthand for 22.5 when referring to these grills, even on Weber's site.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch
