Does anybody know what 22 inch OTS kettles cost brand new in stores back in 2004?

I've been called the Robin Hood of Weber Kettles.

They have cost 99 since early 90's as far as I remember. Pretty remarkable really.

Maybe back into 80's??  Not sure. I just remember not being able to afford one when I was first starting out on my own and dying to have one. No internet to search used either. That's why I like having them so much now.

I could have literally afforded it but would have had to foregone other more important stuff in the monthly budget like food and gasoline at the time. That's why I appreciate the hell out of them now lol

Wow! I can't believe the price hasnt been hiked in that long! Just goes to show how much cheaper the nylon handles, aluminized sweeps, and the taco handles are

But I was only wondering because I was haggling the price of a DH code on FBM that I was going to buy for a friend as a housewarming gift. The seller resisted my first offer because "they're so expensive when new." To which I responded by informing him that a DH code is from 2004 and way out of warranty lol
Anyway, I scored the grill for $35 and it has an extra grate too. It looks brand new. I'll pick it up tomorrow.
