Weber does not know my model number
« on: March 31, 2018, 07:56:53 AM »
Hi friends,

i have a confusing situation.
At first, my regulator on my Performer Deluxe appears to be broken. The flame is (if there is one) small an yellow and some kind of pulsing.

I contacted Weber and provided my model number printed on my label on the backside.
Answer: This number is unknown and invalid.
They just know: 1421001 but I have 142 7 001

I thought it's maybe because of the diff color?

It's a green US version Performer Deluxe from 2010.

Any idea?

Thx
Best regards,
Jan

Are you trying to give them the part number as the serial number?

No she asked for both.
Part number and serial.

Serial belongs to 1421001 she told me.
1427001 I gave here does not exist but as you can see in the pic... there it is.
Or I have the one million $ Performer with a typo on it :-)

It comes up on amazon
https://www.amazon.com/weber-1427001-performer-discontinued-manufacturer/dp/b002pz6w3m
I’d try calling back and talk to another rep the tag looks like your grill was made in 2007 I think that is the year in the picture the gas valve on my performer went bad also it would not shut off all the way and my bottle would slowly leak out I got lucky mine was under warranty and they sent me a free replacement

I think the euro grills have different part #. Take a look at the GB weber webisite looks like the current part is #15501998

I would call back - I can find both your model and serial through the Weber Schematics page. Comes up right away as a "Performer LP GRN (2010) (US/CA/MX)"

The serial number comes up as:
"Performer w/Touch-N-Go Gas Ignition Blk (2010-2012) (US/CA/MX)" "Black" ... but the green lid and bowl pieces are listed within the schematic.

Same, you may find it difficult if you’re trying to buy gas parts for a US grill in Germany though.

@Jan M. Unclip the hose from the burner end. Look at the Orifice. I've seen these gunked up and causes a low pulsing flame.

I cleaned the orifice and it looks like new.
I used a needle for the hole but it was already free.

Are you trying to run a European tank on a US set-up or have you already converted it?

Not sure if it helps but the part number you are looking for is #74237

https://www.amazon.com/Weber-74237-Performer-Hose/dp/B00L4IPI7W/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

Might be a retailer online that would ship to you from the states... either that or delete the factory reg and install an aftermarket one that is made to hook up to the EU cartridge
