Old school kettle repairs (Pre-WKC)

 Anyone else come across some interesting vintage kettle repairs? These are a couple of innovative ones I have seen.

The crutch lime.



Peg leg blue MBH.



Loose spoke lemon.  Guess it bugged the owner having the loose triangle rod and he did not have access to welding equipment.



And the side kick table redhead mod.

I’ve bought numerous parts kettles with these types of “repairs”, but never thought to take pics of ‘em.

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn’t?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I’ve amassed a nice collection, but I’m missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

I've done the peg leg thing in the past... way past, and made a few mods to the legs to make them fit tighter. Fun stuff. Not pretty, butt it worked.  :)  8)

The previous owner of this yellow 18 had that pesky upside down triangle that kept falling out. A little baling wire took care of the problem [emoji12]

C Code OTG?  Probably lost the ash pan and unknowingly created the prototype for the OTG. It had also been dropped, bending one of the leg sockets.  That is why the triangle was wired to the front leg.
