My first WSM
« on: February 08, 2018, 12:57:37 PM »
This WSN popped up in FB marketplace last week.  I responded within 45 minutes of the ad being posted and it was mine all mine.  I’ve never really wanted a WSM but this was just too good of a deal to pass up.

22” WSM
Cajun Bandit SS door
Gaskets everywhere they can go
Unknown BBQ lid hinge
Sitting on an aluminum hot water heater pan with casters under it.
Digi Q ATC - seller out everything back in original packaging after each use.
Silicone jacket - which will be nice with the wind and cold here in Denver
Cajun Bandit high flow charcoal ring
Double charcoal grate with DIY bolts to the charcoal can easily be sifted
A tub full of wood chunks
Kingsford charcoal bin full of leftover charcoal.

All of this for $300.  The seller just got a Traeger.

The door latch is the stock Weber one and a price of junk.  Cajun Bandit handle arrived today and will be attached this evening.

Congrats on your first WSM!  I like the setup of the charcoal grates and ring.

Nice!  Just my opinion but I don’t think Cajun bandit should offer the door without the hinge. Also, will you have to modify the door?  I thought the doors were specific to either hinge type. Either way, I’m sure you will make it work.

I have to drill the hole in the door to take it from 1/2" to 5/8".  And I agree, I don't know why they sell the door without the latch.  That doesn't make any sense to me.
