I didn't think lodge machines any of their surfaces? Nothing wrong with that. I find their standard "rough" surface to perform quite well.

I thought it was ok. No spots that were worth grinding or buffing. I usually put 3 coats of seasoning on them before cooking and have not had any trouble. Only have one round of seasoning on it in these pics.
