I don't know whether it's that I'm getting cabin fever from a long winter or this grill has a spell on me. I spent an hour or so this morning beginning the process of restoring the legs and triangle of this red. I don't normally do this because I just cook. Not sure how far I'll go with it, but phase 1 came out decent but not great. I'll probably get some metal polish for the legs. I used 3 grades of steel wool and some beekeepers friend to get them to this point. I'll try a wheel on the triangle to see how that does. I'll decide then how far I'll go with the legs.
It does look like I was able to get a better picture capturing the speckled effect on the porcelain I tried to explain before. I haven't noticed speckles to this degree on a colored kettle before. It intrigues me. Not that I don't get that it's just how they lay the porcelain, but that it's different.
