Is that some kind of a cruel joke Weber is trying to play on their Euro customers?   It's the same price (L169) as the 22" they show, which basically gets you a therm and some funky red accents.  I'm guessing the vast majority of European customers aren't really dumb enough to fall for that.    Right???

For awhile there, I thought this post was going to be about Weber coming out with an 18" version of the Weber Summit and I was going to have to go all "benjamin crazy" at my local Weber retailer.

No way man. Their demographic here is too cheap. A small kettle with midrange features at that price point will get laughed out the door.

I’d love to have the 18 GBS, and the new lid bale/slide aside. I’m curious about the ash pan... I think a deeper ash pan makes more sense than the current frisbee. And I love the Euro charcoal grates.

I’m also thinking those look like 8” wheels. If that’s the case, we’ve got a taller 18, ala modern MT.

Yeah... I think I’d like a Kettle Plus.

There's definitely things I don't like, like the red accents and the wheels but I'd love the charcoal grate, 18 GBS grate, and the deeper ash pan just makes more sense than the plate we currently have

Im guessing for lighting charcoal. Weber once had a similiar grate that you could put lighter cubes in.
Can't remeber if it was a SJ or a regualr 22..
Probably for that same purpose.
