A few new toys
« on: January 22, 2018, 11:06:11 AM »
Going to be a busy day. 3 deliveries today

These are the first two
One is obvious so let's start with that. And what a story it is.
I saw this NIB Outrider on Letgo and contacted the seller. This is back at the end of November.
After a few PM I ask if she would ship it and she blocks me from further contacting her.
There were no members anywhere near it as I did put up a post for an agent. Someone here posted about finding a local purchasing agent. I couldn't find a thing. I looked on CL and found an ad "Will help to make Christmas Ho Ho Ho".
I contacted the person and explained the situation. After speaking to her on the phone, I agreed to send a Money Order to cover costs for grill, shipping, and 25.00 for her. After sending the funds the woman with the grill was very hard to get in touch with I sent the money order out Dec 3. Waiting, Waiting Waiting. Not once did I feel like the person I sent the funds to was eluding from the truth. She was contacted Dec 30 saying that she would be back in a week and the grill was still available. Well it finally was acquired and shipped the same day Dec19.  I'm very happy but boy was that a heck of a lot of sweating. Oh, I figured if she just took my money I was only out 65.00. But I believe in Karma.

Never been opened as seen by tape yellowing on box

Package #2
Euro 18 Spring Green. Again, BIG thanks to @captjoe06 for letting me know about this and @noreaster for agent.
Packing was bomb proof. Sorry about the pictures but it's drizzling here today. Grill has never been cooked on and came with a cover

One more to go.

Last, but certainly not least, an early 70s roti. BIG thanks to @Mike in Roseville for making this happen.

Thing is HUGE. That's the 18 sitting comfortably inside of it.

Are you going to put an ash catcher on the 18?

Nice pickups! I really like that Spring Green. The lighting gives it an old school Avocado look.
