Smoked turkey on the kettle .
« on: November 21, 2017, 04:01:07 PM »
I decided to try and smoke a turkey on the ol kettle today , I started last night with a bribe .  Water, salt , sugar , one onion, one orange , garlic . And just a little of my rub. This is after it sat for 18 hours in the fridge ( it was in a bag but it was not a pretty picture ).

I stuffed the inside of the turkey with apple, onion, garlic . And I injected it with melted butter , pepper , and garlic powder,

Then I sprinkled some Weber smoking rub on top, mainly for color .

This bird was juicy . And wonderful. I don’t know if I will ever do a bird another way ! Guys gotta try it
