I spotted an estate sale on the way home from work yesterday and decided to stop. Am I glad I did. I found a nice faded black 77 in the garage and on the way to the cashier I ran across this really cool bbq tray.

It has a couple of scratches but nothing too horrible.

I could not separate the pair.

That is a nice find, I would think the two together are more valuable than each on their own. They do belong together.

Trays from Stoyke are sold as a collectables on Etsy and elsewhere:
The whimsical illustrations are by Marcelline Gougler Stoyke, a designer who lived in Evanston, Illinois in the mid '50s. This is one of a series of her designs created for trays. Marcelline worked for Social Supper, Pickard China, Sears, Heisey, Stotter, Federal Glass, and Melmac.

Nice!
Can't wait to see it all cleaned up and the first tray of food served off that platter!

For those admiring the tray, there is another of these 19" trays in Bartlett, IL for $15
It's not in as nice condition though.
