Should have this in a few days. Was looking at some old bbq recipe books and was drawn to this one as it came up in a search on ebay. The pic shows a better homes and garden bbq book from the 50's - not a big deal, several of these can be found on eBay and amazon. But, the Weber Grill on the title was referring to pic number 2. This must have come with the kettle or used for advertising. Must be old as it says weber bros metal works on the first page. Probably was put in the recipe book 50 years ago and forgotten about. Paid $9 for both.

Haven't seen that one before, looking forward to seeing the rest of it
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

"Le Grille? What the hell is that?"

Number Six
"Eliminating the need for a grill adjustment crank for over 60 years"

Gives you also some idea of the distribution in those days.....that  little figure in the left corner "10M" means the printing was a run of ten thousand.......I think the 4  58 is April of 1958, maybe.......
"If you want it fancy there is BBQ spray paint at home depot for that. "
    Covered, damper-controlled cooking.....IF YOU PLEASE !!!
"But the ever versatile kettle reigned supreme"

When it arrives, will post some pics. I can also scan into PDF as well.

Who had the other Woodale Weber brochure and what was it's date?

WKC is fast becoming the unofficially official online Weber authority.

Wow - there is another one of these that has surfaced. Will be interesting to see if there are any differences. I googled it some, but I didn't really find anything.

Just searched covered cooking in the WKC forum and found it

Looks similar but does have differences

Yours is older because G's say's "Weber-Stephens, formally known as Weber Brothers Metals".

Very nice

Just got the brochure today.
Here a few pics of some of the inside pages.

The other pages are some recipes/cooking times, etc. I do believe this was the instruction sheet for the barb-b-q kettle. It is pretty cool that it says weber brothers metal works. It looks like it was printed yesterday - no creases or stains.
It makes reference that you can use in an indoor fireplace or covered patio if you eliminate grease flare-ups.

That is very cool!

I like what #8 states in the first pic .... "Don't have to stand guard over food... just relax!"  8) 8)
Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

Very nice pickup Bbqmiller!  :D  Id be lying if I said I prefer cooking on a One Touch. Yes I love them for cleaning the ashes, yeah the ash cans are nice but I prefer cooking on a daisy wheel/Bar-B-Q-Kettle for temp control. Call me old fashioned, old soul, old school, whatever.  ;)  I've been tempted to cook on my 18 in my fireplace, but my Wife vetoes it whenever I mention it.
