Steak salad and belated kettle karma
« on: October 29, 2017, 02:04:10 PM »
I did a quick cook today but I like to talk so bear with me.

This summer, @kettlebb gifted me a nice 18 OTS just because I mentioned I would like one to throw in the truck and take to picnics. Boom! Brandon gifted one to me just like that!

After using my thumbscrew for a bit, I was excited to get back to the One Touch system. This 18 is great! Ash sweeps and lid vent are nice and tight, and the lid forms a perfect seal on the bowl.

Anyway, wife wanted steak salads tonight. No prob! It would be such a quick cook, so I fired up the 18 and I didn’t have to use an ounce of new fuel; used all leftover coal. Salads turned out great!

Those salads look GRAatE!  I have to say though, it’s really hard for us to eat salads in these colder months. Tonight it’s chicken pot pie for dinner.

I bought that identical 18 for 10 bucks. Fantastic grill. I take it everywhere and it’s also my dedicated garage grill when weather is bad.
