  Well,,,, 5:30 AM,,, woke up several times thinking about my last post, 3 vents on my kettle, I sometimes think of an image upside down when its late, it's that metal plate in my head, they should  have instaled?@##@% But I'm getting my day started now, afternoon nap!

to the best of my knowledge, this one is a copper mist from the 50s!

For posting pictures, it's best to use a free image host like imageshack

Since we're talking about a 1950s (pre disc) kettle, it would appear that they went a short time with just bare legs?? Pre Triangle pan? As evident in this anniversary picture seen on the product this year. I love the foil laid out on the one to the left

it's possible that the demo units were slightly different than the ones being sold.
The salesmen did have to travel with them and all.

My guess is that the legs are solid or tube steel and didn't fall out.
Then someone had to solve the ash or potential fire problem. Somewhre aluminum legs made snse from a cost standpoint.
Either way, that guy is kinda creepy..
