Found one brand new in the box for $250 including a cover. What do you think? Is this a good deal? Or should I wait for a used one for less than $200?

Worth every penny, buy it and keep your eyes open for another one. One is never enough.

They are worth it. This price or full retail. With that said, I could live without one and would buy a 26" if I didn't already have one before I would buy a performer. Just depends how much and what you cook.

A 26" and a 22" is a fantastic combo imo. The performer is a little bit of a real estate hog. That's really only a factor when you have 8-10 grills though.

I've had my performer for 15 years, which my wife gave to me for my birthday, after paying full price....since then I've added 3 children, 2 cats, & a dog...... changed careers, moved 3 times....brought the grill along for every move & cooked countless meals on it, including multiple Thanksgiving,  Christmas, Mothers Day and other large family gathering dinners..... I learned low and slow on that grill....got my brother hooked on bbq (who then went on to compete in Bbq).....and I  have converted 2 or 3 gas grillers over to charcoal....is it worth it?  Yes, worth every penny and I am sure Mrs. Foster Dahlet would agree.

I've had my performer stainless steel for 15 years too. I have purchased the Weber pizza oven now discontinued in the UK but found it in a garden centre lying on the floor collecting dust. Got myself a real deal for £120 when retail was £179!
Love the Pizza it produces!
