Picked up this 1st Gen Performer this morning
« on: September 11, 2017, 07:11:19 AM »
Just picked up this 1st Gen Performer. Frame Looks solid. Stainless looks in good shape. Kettle not so good but will evaluate when I take it apart. No tank or Regulator!

Not sure if I'll restore or part out, but I could not pass up for $10.

Glad you got the price down and picked it up, @SteveZ! Let us know if you part it out. If the bowl is semi-decent and @jeffrackmo doesn't want it, I may have a use for it.

@jeffrackmo  This is the one I was talking about at the Meetup. Kettle is kind of crappy but the frame and stainless is pretty good. The guy that had it for sale for a month said he was going to scrap it. I gave him $10 and took it home this morning, Bowl is kind of crappy! Lots of pops on the grill straps. This guy is a scrapper. Told him to keep my number and let me see anything Weber he finds. I think it might be a good $10 investment to have him looking for me.

Wow what a deal.  Too bad you're too far. Have ssp parts I'm giving away for free. You should definitely try to restore it.

Free stuffs whoever wants it.
Update  9/13:  all gone folks.

Here's my red ssp I got for free  under reconstruction once again.

@Jules V. Would love to have those tanks in the Midwest, members are always looking for those, but they can't be shipped.
