I scored a copper mist today, my brother was nice enough to pick it up for me so it's in family hands now. I need double checked but it appears to be a 1977, birth year kettle!

Best part was the price $30

Am I correct on the age?

Based on some quick research it appears you are correct. It has large dual tab bottom vents, not raised weber logo in lid vent and plastic weber wheels. @Craig  or someone else can verify for sure.

That's awesome you got yourself a nice 1977 brownie! Congratulations! Sweet brown and everything (wheels and vents) points to 1977.

Thanks guys, from the pics (my brother is not a photographer) it looked like a 77 to me. I can't wait to see it in person, I mean see my brother in a month.

Congrats on the find. Was that one in Maryland? A really nice brownie was listed on CL here as well.

Well I made to my brothers house the other day to pickup my brownie. He has been mentioning how much he liked my gen 2 green Performer, so I surprised him with a gift.

I had a farewell cook on the gen 2

Then I welcomed the brownie to my collection

I'm looking forward to the cleanup this winter.
