Traded for a Coppermist
« on: August 29, 2017, 03:00:32 PM »
Made a trade today and got an early 70's Coppermist. Traded my mid-70's black.  Coppermist is a little rough. Needs a new handle, wheels and front leg. Still excited. Really wanted this color in the family.
BTW does anyone know where I can get a front leg that would work for this era grill?

I agree with @mhiszem you did really well there. That's a great cooker, now get it dirty!

Have wings on right now and will also throw some corn and a couple of brat patties.  Vacation time in Door County Wisconsin.

Nice pickup!

It's a 22" grill, right? Any leg from another 22 would work. Looks like your front leg is either not in the leg socket all the way, or it's possibly a leg from a 26" grill..........?

Hey Bob bq. Thanks for the info. The leg that is currently on there is not a weber leg. There is no hole for the shelf hook to fit into. It looks like they might have used a leg from a walker and just cut it to size.

I will be headed up to Brussels on friday. I could bring you a leg if you were there through the weekend. I will probably pass you on the road headed the opposite direction.

That is very kind of you.  We are planning  to leave on Friday afternoon.  It sounds like we will be passing on Interstate 43.
