Stopped by a walmart today as I needed some folders for work and walked to the grill section.  Picked up a $5 weber thermometer on clearance and a couple $7 smokey joes on clearance.

I keeping one and giving the other away to another weber addict.

I have mine put together and now I'm wondering what the heck Im going to use it for.  I tailgate a few games but there has to be more uses than that.

How do you use your smokey joe?!?!

Mr.CPHo

How about using it as your dedicated chimney station?

For $7, I like that you bought first and asked questions later.

You can't always get what you want....but if you try sometimes you get what you need

I stopped by two Walmarts today that both showed inventory on brickseek but couldn't find a single Weber grill, SJ or otherwise. Good find, hopefully I'll be able to snag one at that price.

I had a Sidekick table that I couldn't stand, so I gave it to my parents and subsequently took an SJ that had been on their deck, unused, for at least 20 years and I only use it when I'm running 3 or more kettles need a third(or forth) chimney.

I don't think the SJs are $7 at every Walmart. Can someone confirm one way or the other? Does Walmart do markdowns corporately or at the store level?

I am keeping close eye on the smokey joes. I wanted one with a wood handle and a little older for my camper but I know its going to get banged around quite a bit. A $7 new one would work perfect.

Keep an eye out on the regular 22" Weber grills. I picked one up for $25 last night at Walmart. I might make it a dedicated pizza cooker.

I dont have the brickseek links for these but maybe someone can post them.

I make kabobs on the Smokey Joes .. very convenient to cook kabobs on them with the firewire skewers. Half a chimney of charcoal briquettes and its good.

My local Walmart had them for $15.  I picked one up just for the legs/grates...

@davekkk I have a grill that you might be interested in.  I'll send you a PM with details.
