Those that have a ranch...worth it?

I bought mine years ago and did not pay full price.  I use it a couple of  times a year.  I try to use it at least once a year at a tailgate.  If you can get one for a good price and have a place to store it, buy it. You can always sell it.

I don't need mine. I've used it once since I bought it this past spring. I LOVE IT.

I laugh when I lift off the massive food grate, which weighs a ton. I laugh just looking at it. I laugh using it.

The fun factor is off the charts, imo. I use a 12 x 16 folded tarp for a cover.

I strongly suggest getting one.

If the price is good for you grab it. I've had mine for about 10 years and love it. I cook on it at least once a month. The extra space is so nice. And if you don't need all of the room, cook on one side and use the other side as a table/work area. I take mine out to do live demos and it's a show-stopper. This was in California demo'ing Snake River Farms rib eyes.

It is worth it.  Cooking under logs, incredible heat control through the extended grill real estate. Etc. I seldom fill it but glad I have it. Bought one years ago and even bought a cover for it from a New England firm

I also bought a cover. It's from Amazon basics for a round garden table. It fits perfectly and is very cheap (paid €26 / bit more than $30)

Maybe a couple pics can help you make your decision.

18 Tri Tips.  I do this at least 5x a year.

I was very tempted, and y'all are very persuasive, but I ended up passing on the deal. I rarely cook for more then 5-10 people and my 26" and 22" are more than capable of handling the job. Plus I have no good way to store it.

Asking price was $500.
Of course, a tweener price to make the decision more difficult.  Low enough to seriously consider long and hard, but not low enough to be a deal you couldn't refuse.
