A while back I think it was Troy posted about leg dimensions and how much to cut off triangle to make a shorty. can someone help me out with those Dimensions please . I recently picked up my roadside find grey top black kettle but I'm going to make a shorty smoker.

Was thinking of getting the kid one of the toy grills but might just pickup a cheap 18 and do a midget mod for him to play with, would be a much cheaper option and fun for us to work on.

I used those lengths on my 22. The main thing to keep in mind is to make the front leg 2.25" longer than the back legs, and the ash system fits.

I cut 7 5/8" off each leg on an 18" kettle. Perfect.
