26" Weber SSP using 56MPG Brackets
« on: July 24, 2017, 02:27:23 PM »
Forgot to share, been so busy cooking on my new favorite setup. Yes it sits high as obviously a 26" bowl wont sit the same as a 22". It makes for the perfect cooking height for me (5'8") Everything is still functional on both kettle and cart. Hope they decide on another batch of brackets as i can never go back to cooking on a 22".  ;D  Polished it all off with some handles from Zav and there is a port hole drilled for temp probes. As it is not a gas assist model it has the perfect shelf hidden below the lid to keep my temp controller safe.

WOW!!

Nicely done  Love those handles!!!
Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

So excited I found this. I been bitchin to my wife for a long time about a work table for my 26! Need to find a cheap cart and get to work!

I'm waiting for the first person to get hold of a Weber Summit Charcoal Grilling Center table/cart and put a 26.75" kettle in the hole instead of the current kettle that comes with it. It would be an extremely close fit since OD of the Summit Charcoal bowl is about the same size as the OD of a 26.75" kettle bowl. I have both grills.
This is the original Weber kettle. The most powerful bbq grill in the world and can blow your taste-buds clean off! So, you have to ask yourself one question: "Do you feel hungry? Well, do you punk?"

I wanted to use a summit charcoal frame...but the likely hood of finding one is slim to none...

The summit frame is probably more expensive than the 26.
