One of my first Kettles was a new Economy version just like that....makes a great cooker.....but seal up the handles first as they are bare and will absorb finger oil just as quick as bbq sauce or chicken fat.

@CatskillSmoker - Mine were cheap wood.....real washed out.....your's unfortunately look the same as mine. So I laid on some Walnut stain followed by a little Mahogany to kick it in before using Spar medium gloss. I used liquid Spar but would recommend the spray can stuff instead.
