A buddy from work went camping this weekend and is bringing this back for me. ( someone left it there) I know they were only made for a few years. Any opinions about them?

Is that vent aftermarket?? I've never seen a WeberQ with a top vent.

That's the Charcoal Q bro. Not many out there. I'd love to try one out.

No, vent is original. It is a charcoal version, only made for a short time. Looks like the bottom vent is controlled by a lever in the front. It's a freebie, I'll give it a try.

For a month or longer there was one for sale on CL in the Wichita area NIB for $75. I noticed the post was taken down yesterday it must have sold.

If you try it and end up not liking it let me know, maybe I could give it a few cooks?

I have owned a couple of those and they are very odd grills.  the charcoal tray is very close to the grill great which keeps the coals close but also doesn't allow for coals to be stacked.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.
