2012/2013 - Stu picked up the grill in Wisconsin
2013 - Stu sold the grill to Shaun
2013 - Shaun sold the grill to Harris
2013 - Harris sold  the grill to Shaun
2013 - Grill sold to Golly, shipped to california (to be grouped into a larger package destined for Australia)
2014 - grill re-packed (by Troy) (along with multiple other grills and accessories), shipped to freight company in LA
2014 - freight company locked down in legal dispute - all assets siezed
2017 - Grill sold on eBay

That seller would have a yellow 18, a few zavod handles, several shakers of rubs, several WKC t-shirts, a corn'n'tator ring or a shish ring (can't remember, as it was the only part I didn't have to repackage), a bunch of skewers, and a stack of wkc stickers.

Just as an FYI, the eBay seller told me today the company went out of business.  ALL assets were liquidated.  The eBay seller indicated he was helping them sell off some inventory.

harris92

Also, there is a shish set on eBay today.  Seller is located in California.

Was the shipment insured? Was a claim ever filed when it was first "lost"? If the shipper went belly up, I'm not sure "assets" would include in-transit items. They would not be able to sell off things they don't own would they? I recall the whole sad story, and it would be cool for the OZ boyz to get some or all of this back. Better call Saul...

We were told we could either claim insurance or wait for the dispute to end
We had a lawyer look at the details
We decided to wait it out
Kendoll has been in email conversations with the shipping company and they said they will hold everything as we haven't accepted insurance value as we under valued  the package to avoid import taxes and gst
@kendoll can we get a total list together of what was in the shipment
I'm thinking the lawyer might get a call soon to see where we stand
GET ON THAT SHIT
WONT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER

Sounds like you're all over it Golly. Good luck with the outcome.

So where are the grills currently?
Did someone agent for @harris92 ?
Did the seller ship these to GA?

Sadly, the shipment never left the freight company's address.
They were combining the packages I shipped them with another package from another agent into a pallet bound for Australia.
I think everything got seized before the pallet was assembled.

The blue and red jumbo are on the way to Atlanta. I'll have them Friday.

This whole thing is just crazy to read!  My brother @Bob BQ was telling me about this lost Australian shipment, almost seemed like lore!  Wild that all this stuff is turning up and connections are being made!  Hopefully this has a great conclusion for our Australian friends!

It doesn't clear up anything when both you and @harris92  both say "I" and "Me." But that doesn't matter - the shippers went under, the goods ended up on Ebay.

What is incredible to me is that someone recognized the wheels on a kettle. "Hey - I've seen those wheels before!" "Years ago!"

Hah, thanks.
Fixed.

Quick Update.  The plan is for these grills (18" blue and red jumbo) to go to Golly in Oz.  Future updates will be provided.
