Jeez, that's a shame, not just for the barbecue and the slow and sear inside of it, but for the fact that it really shakes your trust badly when this sort of thing happens. In a way, I'm glad only the grill and the slow and sear that were taken and that whoever took it didn't break into your house or steal more and that you and yours are ok because it could have been worse - the violent home invasions that have made the news recently are really frightening.
Is it just me or has there been an increase in crimes in Hamilton? One of my neighbours saw some strung out druggie lady trying car door handles a year and a half ago. My other neighbours next door had change and cigarettes stolen out of her car fairly recently and apparently someone was messing in my driveway back in March while work had sent me out of town. Their dog went crazy and whoever was there took off by the time they got outside to see what was going on. The only damage done was some dents to my shed's doors. This used to be a quiet, safe, east end neighbourhood south of Main St. I'd expect this crap down around Barton St. between Centre Mall and downtown. I have some barbecue accessories in my back vestibule and the outside door to that is getting locked when I'm not home starting as of now.
