oh
my
god

it appears someone installed the legs improperly.... and although they couldn't figure out the leg issue, they were 'handy' enough to install a new handle where the old handle "should have been"

And the grill looks blue.
This is ruining my weekend.

Can't tell if it's black or blue painted black. That poor kettle never had a chance.

Oh no...no, no.  If that's a blue, someone needs to do a rescue.

I asked him and he said it was black.  2 large tabs on each vent on the bottom.  I was hoping that other "handle" was some kind of missing accessory.

I bet that owner dropped some f-bombs having to "fix" Webers mistake.

Also found this gem online. "good as new " they said....

The good news is that the actual front of the kettle looks decent. It's a '77 vent. Don't see too many of those now. The crude handle can be removed and the holes riveted shut I suppose. This kettle needs some RRR and TLC. It's got high potential.

Holy Grail: 1960s Glen Blue 22 aka The Imperial.

the first kettle is amusing.
