How many drumsticks on a Performer?

I'm having a cookout in 2 weeks and plan on making Roadside chicken. I have a Performer and was thinking I'd make drumsticks since I can get more on the grill. Anyone know have any idea how many I should be able to get on there? I'll be fighting flare-ups a good bit with this recipe so I probably should have a small area that isn't direct if possible. Worst case scenario, I'll temporarily move some the my Q if I have to fight fire too much. Planned on doing dogs on the Q also.

Don't know about a Performer, 'cause I missed the chance at my 1st one last week.......but a standard kettle maybe thirty medium size, if you're careful.......

Roadside is a hard-char kind of a thing, if I'm remembering right, so maybe cook batches to most of the way done & then stack 'em up in pans ( if you need to for however many ) & set the pans back on at the end to finish & keep warm.....hope this helps..... ;D

Thanks, Buckie. I've made the RS chicken last weekend and I think I had too much heat as I couldn't cook the chicken over direct heat otherwise it would burn. Hopefully I don't make that mistake if I have a whole grill full of chicken since I won't have much space to move around.

No I don't. I do have a Weber Q but I don't want to use that for this. I did get the OK from the wife! I've been checking craigslist daily but only thing that comes up local is the ugly Ladybug kettle. lol
