Foster Dahlet

Mrs. Foster Dahlet first made me these French burgers 15 years ago....still one of my faves.  We decided to do it all on the kettle tonight.

First, I had to get the potatoes cooked.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Foster Dahlet prepared the onions...

....the shallots

....the thyme

...and the eggs

Other ingredients include flour, parsley, lots of butter, oil & red wine

buttered up the skillet

softened up the onions, between 5-10 minutes

removed them from the skillet, and let them cool down

added onions to 80/20 ground chuck

then added butter, thyme, & eggs

made patties and dredged them in the flour

patties ready for cooking

butter and oil in the pan

three minutes per side

remove burgers and keep foil over them, remove oil and butter from the skillet

add butter, shallots, and red wine to skillet

when thick enough, add parsley

plated burgers with the shallot/red wine reduction, potatoes, and salad

juicy, and you can see all the goodness inside

I can tell you they were very tasty!

Looks great, and nice teamwork. Anything with red wine is fine with me.

Awesome burgers @Foster Dahlet and the Mrs. And I agree with Marty about the red wine
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Travis

Love that red wine reduction. Nice looking burger!

Mouth watering! those burgers look fantastic. Nice work on the post too, always enjoy seeing pictures of the entire cook end to end.

Thank you @Thrillho .  My wife took so many pictures to document the cook, that I began to feel like I was auditioning for Food Network!

Thank you @WNC.  It had a nice crunch on the outside, & was uber tender on the inside.  FWIW, while I did have a nice glass of Malbec with the dish, the beer I was sippin' during the cook was Highland Brewing Comapny's Gaelic Ale.  I am sure you are familiar with that one.
