Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

I like to think it's Karma. 3 weeks ago I saw a very beat up SSP nonassist on CL,
I sent a message saying if they wanted to give it away I would pick it up.
4 days later I speak with the person and they tell me they are moving Friday.
Mind you this grill is on Long Island some 120 miles from me. Ok I have family there.
We arrange for him to just leave it in the back of the house. Fast forward to Saturday AM.
Getting ready to leave I check CL before I leave. Lone behold another SSP gas assist for free in Greenwich CT.
It took all of 15 minutes to confirm. She would be out when I would be there so she told me to just go in back and take it. All in all it was an extra 30 miles in my travel to LI. And in 3 hours arriving at my in-laws with these in the truck.
Needless to say, they were like WTF. Now I went to LI to drop the Mrs.off to watch my nephew for a week.
I drove them home, did a quick restore of the nonassist and a week later brought it back to LI and gave it to said in laws. They were blown away at how it looked from what they remembered.
Sharing the love of BBQ.
