Loose air vent on top of kettle. What to do?

I have pretty much completely rehabbed an older SS Performer. The last thing on my list is to figure out what to do about the air vent on the lid of the kettle. It is very loose and will spin on its own when removing/replacing the lid. Is there any way to address this?

If it's dead clean that could be making it worse, once it gunks up a bit it should seal a bit better.

Yeah what krex said.  I had a vent that took awhile but it finally gunked up and tightened. If it's bad enough I suppose you could drill the rivet and install stainless nut and bolt. I haven't done it so don't know other than just a thought.

It's super clean which probably doesn't help. The main issue is that the vent cover is not contacting the porcelain on the lid. I guess I should have mentioned that first.
