Picked up a pat pending 18" cado today.

found it on craigs, picked it up, gave it a little cleaning.









seems in pretty good shape overall, few chips and whatnot but everything is solid.  need to re-coat the handle.

I wonder what caused that long "scar" under the handle? I haven't seen chipping like that before

Nice pickup!

I was thinking the same thing as @WNC about that gouge under the handle.  Any ideas what happened there?
