Thanks guys for all your comments I really appreciate it. I do owe some credit to my son for all his help, he tries hard and does a good job. He never nicked the kettle one time grinding the welds, just like he was on a razor restore job.

IMO we dont see enough grills that are respected by leaving their character intact. Black Betty got stood up on her own legs then a cold water wash and high heat burn out and thats about it. The bent up ash pan, seized wheel, rashed rim, are what they are and the way they'll always be.
