My First MBH ( faded black)- Pic heavy

Got my first MBH , I think it from 1978 . Seemed to be faded back and their is some rust holes near stand. Had two grates with charcoal and nice twist pan. Also little bit roundness issue on Bowl - but I think manageable.
Got for 30 as thought it will be cool to have 39 year old kettle.

As long as those sockets are strong, i would leave it caddywompis. Nice looking blackie.

Congrats on your first MBH score. Looks good! Mine is just as bad around the leg sockets. There are ways to redo that area, but I leave it the way it is.
Travis beat me to it. This kettle belongs in the Caddywampus Appreciation thread.

That's gonna make a sweet old cooker! Black MBH are my favorite kind of black kettles. Nice score!
