As the name implies, it's a very very dangerous smoking method. I'm on my phone, but can elaborate tomorrow if you dare to hear more details.

@Cellar2ful  a couple of years ago wife and I took MIL to a museum in San Francisco to see the bulgari jewelry exhibit. Superb! Not totally my scene but I can appreciate craftsmanship no matter what the product is. You just reminded me of that. Sorry to sidetrack with a thread jack.

The set-up above by HFG inspired me to make a "fence" for the snake / fuse.  Works amazing!

@joetee

A snake or fuse is a popular method of creating a charcoal configuration that can keep BBQ temp in the Low-n-Slow range 225 degrees or so for many hours.  Think pork ribs.   Give it a try  ...  But not in a yellow kettle [emoji53]

With very very little need if any to adjust the vents much.  Once you do it a couple of times you'll know right about where you'll want your vent settings and then you'll be able to practically set it in your sleep.
