im looking to get the vortex for my 22.5" kettle..

any thoughts about medium vs large size.

im thinking large size b/c im really looking at this for intense sear .. especially for steaks to get a full body brown sear..

any feedback on vortex owners related to medium vs large size.. ???

I have a M that I received as a gift. It will get the job done but I do not achieve the insane temps that some discuss here. I would go L.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm sure some other vortex owners will chime in.

Cool Lo Brown

I have a medium that I love. I don't get insane temp with it though. Still pretty new to it so it might be a learning curve thing....?  I'll never cook wings another way again though!

I believe that the large will not fit a 22, it is too tall. The medium is what works well with a 22.

Geezer

I use the small for my 22.5.  It gives plenty of heat when needed and allows room for more chicken wings around the grate.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill
