Temp controller on a Ranch kettle for low n slow?
« on: April 10, 2017, 06:46:23 AM »
I was wondering if anyone has used a controller on their Ranch. I as thinking of trying a CyberQ. Is so, how did you set it up and how well did it work?

Thanks.

I have a Pitmaster 110 I just tried on my WRK and it works, but I think it struggled a little. Setup was pretty easy as I just removed the unit from my 26er and mounted it through one of the three vents on the bottom. I then closed off the other two. At some point in the smoke, it was not coming up to temperature and I had to open another vent for a while.

I love my Pitmaster 110 on my 26er, but I am going to contact the owner at Pitmaster to see if there is a way to increase the volume of air, or if another one of their products would be better suited for the larger area of the WRK.
