I think if you was to build a prototype type for the wooden custom table maker, they would be a market for it, maybe a 1-1.5 inch gap from grill to wood.

What do you think?

@sford72    This is a Sequoia re-build.....of a very beat up one.....came out really pretty nice for what he had to work with..... @HankB  did real well !!!!

I'll second 56 in saying the gas is nice but in no way necessary. I use cubes most of the time now and it doesn't take me any longer to get cooking.
