How much pressure to you have to push the scraper on the grates compared to a wire brush? I'm afraid I would be pushing my kettle around the deck trying to get the grate cleaned. Or is it easier than I'm thinking?

I think the key to the wood scraper is to use it while the grill is ripping hot (wear gloves). This helps the groves to continue to form and is also makes sure you aren't scraping any gooey grease or sauce drippings. With a performer it isn't bad at all, my OTG I use slightly less pressure.

Btw the new 14.99 may take a few weeks to hit your lcw aka local costco warehouse shelves..

1 ga location still had the 19.99 modela nd another only had the new 14.99 model...call around and ask for the sku number...

If you need the new sku i can look it up

Any place to buy these at that price online?  No Costco around here.

Big update...costco doing their members right...they are stocking a diff brand wood scraper attttttttt 14.99

Bought 1 this weekend...

Where/what sections are you seeing these in Costco? I was looking yesterday and could not find them.
If anyone runs across a good deal in Oklahoma please let me know.

Here is shot of the new (i believe) Costco scraper. It's made of oak so should be nice and strong. I was also surprised the "grooves" hold such a sharp edge. Pretty cool idea.

Dunno, never seen one. I'm using Weber's grill brush with grate success.
Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

These are seasonal items...so each costco locates them in diff aisles....my lcw has then by the exercise equipment on the main aisle bunker side.

Call your lcw and ask if they stcok them....do you need the sku number?

I am going to pass on this. Way too expensive.  I would need 3 of them.  One for the cast iron grates, one for the wires grates and one for the gaser grates.

This is Expensive if you have grates of different types.  But if you have all the same...it seems good

Well making one isn't obviously.  But buying 3 or 4?
