is there a source for the SSP nylon washers?

Are they high heat?

The 2 hardware stores near my only have white.

Thanks.

I do see these, but would like to find a cheaper alternative.

Any reason not to use these?  Is there a danger of them melting, at least the few near the bowl?

I got some from Home Depot in the pull out drawers in the hardware aisle.  I believe they were called fiber washers.  You get a pair for around $1.  They went in between the lid and my bolt on handle handle.   Seem to be holding up good.   They were black.

these are extremely high temp plastic washers. Good to 500 F

what you want are officially called fiber washers....

i would not buy weber replacement washers..reason being they only last 1 season.

my oem wsm washers  crumbled when i replaced all the hardware with stainless steel hex bolts/nuts.

buy a bulk pack...MUCH cheaper.

hpme depot sells the fiber washers for .80 per unit which is skyhigh
