Nice pickup. I to have an "N" code 18.5" JJ. It's been my long time tailgating, camping, going to the beach or forest preserve grill. It's one of the few Webers that I bought new.
drink a little drink, smoke a little smoke    8)
It's not just a grill, it's a WEBER

LiquidOcelot

was able to look at it more and I have to say for being 26 it's in damn fine shape

small little dings from most likely being tipped over

missing one if the side vent covers, may fab one up Sunday

inside looks like it's been well maintained

really happy that I found this, kind of my new favorite at the moment

Excellent find!

A very under-appreciated offering from Weber.
I prefer this design of JJ as compared to the current design because of the deeper bowl.  A great cooker, IMHO.  8)

I had the same rust issues at the leg tabs.  I also replaced all the hardware with SS.

Your lid handle appears to be in decent / salvageable condition .... Or, you can go the Zav route ....

Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

This is one of my two.

I love the looks of the Outrider.
Also the lid is a perfect fit on the bottom bowl of my 18 WSM. Works great for snuffing out the Stubb's.

searching for a 26" ash pan.

Congratulations on the find! I've got a 2002 DU code SJP/Outrider. I prefer this version over the current JJ offering. I like the deeper/standard bowl.

Okay so now I really want one of these!
Wasn't there a thread where people converted old 18's to these, like the midgets?
