I've wondered the same thing. The grilling center would sure be nice, but idk about $500 more nice. I would probably just end up with the the summit charcoal grill and spend the other $500 on other toys.

Base model for sure, they are not here locally at that price.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

The grilling center for me. It was a new found love for grilling when I got my performer so I'd have to follow suit with the summit.

For the price difference keep a performer around for the table and buy the base model.

Just curious which one everyone would buy.  Summit Charcoal Grill @ $999 or Summit Charcoal Grilling Center @ $1499.

This is just for the guys that would buy them don't need a bunch of "neither one"   :)

I don't see the value in the extra $500 grilling center over the base model.
Looking for colored 18's and SJ's.

Word. I actually think the standalone tripod looks cooler than the grilling center table.

I agree.  I like the look of the tripod more. It looks pretty sturdy as well.

The Summit is very nice.  I saw them the last week at Ace Hardware.  I was very surprised how nice they really are and they should be for that price.  I just cannot justify paying that much yet.  If I were to get one it would be the Tripod model.  It looks cool.
Genesis Gold B, 18" WSM, 18" Yellow, 22" Blue OTG, 22" Lime MBH, 22"  Black SJ, Black Jumbo Joe Platinum and Red 22" LE.

If money was no option, which it is... I'd take the performer model. That's a beefy looking S.O.B.

Dang, can't find one anywhere at my local ACE Hardware Stores.

I've yet to see one in person.  I think there is a place here in Phoenix (not Ace) that has them though.

Barbeques Galore in Chandler carries them.  I think they have both models in stock.  I asked him about a discount, given the ACE price in this thread, but he would not budge.
