Love the pair!
I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

Is the one on the left an "A" (1979)? If so, you've got Brave's from the beginning and the end of the 70s. Thats awesome! Sweet looking pair you got there. Can't wait to see the next pic of them all in a row.

I think its a "tweener".  I searched the vent and could not find a date code.  However, 8457 is engraved in the vent.  Not sure if this was done by Weber, by the seller, or by a previous owner.  Either way, it has to be around '79.

Not sure about the engraved 8457. It could be a '78 like my 22" Warrior is.  :)

I bet an older couple owned this in the day. My grandfather got a security code and engraved anything he thought was of value. It was old school security and it was on file with the police department.

I often wonder if the better condition vintage kettles were originally owned by older people at the time too. Seems the past generations took more pride and took way better care of their stuff indoors and out compared to many people today. (grillfellas being the exception of course)   ;)  That makes sense on the engraving thing. Very possible.
